Mailing on a Sunday
Mailing on Sunday is generally a no go. There is little room for error with urgent Royal Mail parcels and certain parcel couriers the only options.
The Royal Mail only offers same day delivery on urgent parcels, which is a costly option. All other post is aimed to be delivered Monday-Saturday by 3pm for urban areas and 4pm for rural areas.
There is some hope though for general posting of parcels with various couriers offering a solid service even though its a Sunday.
DPD’s delivery operation runs between 9am and 5pm on Sundays, with a network of 52 nationwide depots also being open during these times.
So Mailing on Sunday isnt impossible for parcels, there are options. However, if you want to send a letter, its best to post it in a letterbox ready for that Monday morning collection!
